Hi Don

Just brought up the Halpenny name on my database, and, much to my surprise, I have another Halpenny connection to my Lewis side of the family.  William Halpenny, born 1797, presumably in Ireland, died 3 Nov 1883 and was buried in Boyd's Cemetery, Lanark Co.  He married Catharine Lewis, d/o Robert Lewis and Ellen Plunkett, 5 Oct 1827.  Catharine's dates, 1802 - 11 Sep 1877.  She was born in Ireland and died in Lanark Co.  Also buried at Boyd's.  I'm a descendant of her brother, William who married Edith Leach.  Another sister, Eleanor, married another William Halpenny.  Oh no!!!

Then, of course, there was Isaac Halpenny, who married 1.  Alice Frizelle 2. Jane Wilson  3. Rebecca Chamney  & 4. Mary Moulton.  He kept spreading the TB around, I believe!  Rebecca was the d/o Joseph Chamney and Jane Tracy of Aghowle Parish, Co Wicklow.

William Halpenny, s/o William & Eleanor married Elizabeth Jane Code.  Another connection to my family!

Have just taken some time to try and track some of these Halpennys through the 1881, 1901 and 1911 census for Canada with some success!

All for tonight as it's almost 11 pm and my eyes just won't take any more!!!

Cheers
